Frequently asked questions

How wide is this material, and how is it sold?
This blue vinyl magnetic sheeting is 24.375 inches wide and sold by the linear foot, on 30 mil magnetic material.

What is by-the-foot blue vinyl used for?
Buy blue vinyl by the foot - perfect for one-off informational signs and safety notices without committing to a full roll.

How strong is the magnet?
These rolls use solid 30 mil magnetic material with a blue vinyl face - not a thin magnet padded with paper and laminate - so they hold firmly and lie flat.

Is it weatherproof?
Yes - vinyl-laminated magnets are rated for both indoor and outdoor use, from -15°F to 160°F, and resist rain, sleet, and snow.

Can I print on the colored vinyl?
The blue vinyl face is pre-colored, so it is meant to be used as-is or dressed up with cut vinyl lettering or screen printing. For full-color digital printing, use our white vinyl or inkjet magnetic sheets instead.

How do I cut and install it?
Cut with scissors, a utility knife, or a straight edge. Apply to any clean, flat steel surface, like a refrigerator, file cabinet, whiteboard, or car door.
